Our FIVE YEAR celebrations were a big success and resulted in the largest donation we’ve made to date! We are so appreciative of your support and generosity. This quarter, CHILDREN were the beneficiaries of our donations.  We chose to support nonprofits who serve children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses; children who may go hungry on weekends and school breaks without outside assistance; and children with congenital heart disease. Thanks to our members’ giving hearts, we donated $32,250 this quarter and people’s lives are being impacted on a daily basis.

Ahwatukee donated $11,150 to Corbin’s Legacy.  Corbin’s Legacy was created in memory and honor of an outstanding Kindergarten teacher who, to her last day, was dedicated to improving the lives of her students and all those in need with continuous good deeds. The mission of Corbin’s Legacy is to improve outcomes of underserved and at-risk elementary school aged children through the elimination of food insecurity and health and inequities.

Our donations will be used to purchase 1,100 meals for children over the holiday break.

Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels was the recipient of $13,200 in donations from our Scottsdale group.  This charity was founded in 2012 in celebration of Amanda Hope’s life. During her three-year fight with leukemia and nine-month battle with a brain tumor, Amanda Hope dreamed that one day she would design a fun clothing line for kids just like her that would provide comfort and dignity during chemo treatments. Amanda’s life ended all too soon, but her dream lives on through their Comfycozy’s for Chemo apparel and her legacy continues with the expansion of programs and services.

Our donations will be used to support local families affected by childhood cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.

Our East Valley group selected the Nick and Kelly Children’s Heart Fund and donated $6,700.  The charity assists Arizona families of children with congenital heart disease and acquired heart disease. The goal is to minimize the financial and emotional burden on the families and enable the children to enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle.

Our donations will be used to directly impact Arizona families by eliminating the financial strains of rising medical costs.  Funds will also be used to send more children to Heart Camp.

Please visit our Facebook page for more photos from our donation meetings.  Our next quarterly giving circles are January 29 in Scottsdale, February 4 in Ahwatukee and February 6 in the East Valley. Please register here.
