Year End Giving Opportunities

As we close out 2023, we have an opportunity to continue our support through donations that qualify for Arizona tax credits. Over 50% of our charities fall into the Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) or Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organization (QFCO).

Ways to Give

Arizona Tax Credits

Have you maximized your tax credit donations this year?  Whether you’re a member or community supporter of 100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun, if you live in Arizona you can maximize your tax credit by making contributions to qualifying charitable organizations. Arizona provides two separate tax credits for individuals who make contributions to charitable organizations.  Many of our nominated and selected charities meet these requirements (see our charity list for QCO and QFCO qualified charities).

  1. Donations to Qualifying Charitable Organizations (QCO).  The maximum credit allowed is $841 for married filing joint filers and $421 for single, heads of household, and married filing separate filers.
  2. Donations to Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organizations (QFCO). The maximum credit allowed is $1,173 for married filing joint filers and $587 for single, heads of household, and married filing separate filers.

If you choose to make your qualifying donations to one of our nominated or selected charities before April 15, 2024, let us know.  We’ll count that towards our grand total of giving!

Employer Match

Current members, let us know if your employer has matched any of the donations you have made to our nominated or selected charities. We count those dollars in our grand total of giving!  For more information on company matching and to check if your company matches, use this tool offered by Charity Navigator.

Company Contributions

Is your company looking for a local Arizona charity to support with their end of year giving?  Pass along our list of nominated and charity recipients to help make the selection process easier.  If your company donates to one of these charities, pass along the total amount donated to us.  We will celebrate with you and count that contribution towards our community giving total!

About Your Donations, Where & How They Are Used

100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun is not the beneficiary of any of the donations made by our members or community supporters.  If you choose to support one of the charities on our list you are making your donation directly to that charity.  As a giving circle, we simply facilitate the giving process by providing a list of vetted charities nominated by our members.

We suggest doing some research and selecting a charity that touches your heart or aligns with your mission and values as a company.  If you visit our Nominated Charities or Charity Recipients pages, you will find each charity is linked directly to their website.  Please use this information to learn more about a charity, and how your donations will directly impact their services and programs.

What is a giving circle?

Giving Circles come in lots of different forms, but the short answer is it is a group of individuals who decide together where to donate their own money through a pooled fund.  To learn more about our giving circle, 100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun, visit our About Us page.

Are my donations tax deductible?

All of the charities listed on our website are 501(c) charities.  You will receive a tax donation receipt directly from that charity in accordance with their own guidelines.

How should I donate to the selected charity and have it count towards your giving goal?

Once you have selected a charity to support, visit their website directly and look for their DONATE button.  You can find a link to each charity’s website by visiting our Charity Recipients page or Nominated Charities page.  Once you’ve made your donation, simply email us at info@100wwcvalleyofthesun.org and let us know the amount.  We will add it to our total!

What is the difference between a "nominated charity" and a "charity recipient"?

Once a charity is nominated and approved through our vetting process, it is added to our Nominated Charity page.  These charities have not yet been selected to receive a donation from our members, although in a few instances a charity may have been selected over 24 months ago and then nominated again.

Charities that appear on our Charity Recipients page have previously received donations from our members.  The amount donated is listed below their name.
