Help Us Celebrate a Community of Giving
We are thrilled to be celebrating our FIVE year anniversary! When we started our chapter, we set a goal to raise $500,000 in five years for local Arizona charities. Well, TOGETHER, with the help of our members, sponsors and community supporters we are very close to accomplishing that goal. After our 2019 fourth quarter donations, we’ll be approximately $30,000 shy of our mark.
Want to be part of our celebration of giving?
We’re expanding our power of collective giving through the end of the year to include anyone in the community (that’s YOU!) who wants to share in our celebration and help us reach $500,000.
Ways to Give
Arizona Tax Credit
Have you maximized your tax credit donations this year? Whether you’re a member or community supporter of 100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun, if you live in Arizona you can maximize your tax credit by making contributions to qualifying charitable organizations. Arizona provides two separate tax credits for individuals who make contributions to charitable organizations. Many of our nominated and selected charities meet these requirements (see reference list).
- Donations to Qualifying Charitable Organizations (QCO). The maximum credit allowed is $800 for married filing joint filers and $400 for single, heads of household, and married filing separate filers.
- Donations to Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organizations (QFCO). The maximum credit allowed is $1,000 for married filing joint filers and $500 for single, heads of household, and married filing separate filers.
If you choose to make your qualifying donations to one of our nominated or selected charities before December 31, 2019, let us know and we’ll count that towards our grand total of giving!

About Your Donations, Where & How They Are Used
100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun is not the beneficiary of any of the donations made by our members or community supporters. If you choose to support one of the charities on our list you are making your donation directly to that charity. As a giving circle we simply facilitate the giving process by providing a list of vetted charities nominated by our members.
We suggest doing some research and selecting a charity that touches you or aligns with your mission and values as a company. If you visit our Nominated Charities or Selected Charities pages you will find that each charity is linked directly to their website. Please use this information to learn more about a charity and how your donations will directly impact their services and programs.
What is a giving circle?
Giving Circles come in lots of different forms, but the short answer is it is a group of individuals who decide together where to donate their own money through a pooled fund. To learn more about our giving circle, 100+ Women Who Care Valley of the Sun, visit our About Us page.
Are my donations tax deductible?
All of the charities listed on our site are 501(c) charities and you will receive a tax donation receipt directly from that charity in accordance with their own guidelines.
How should I donate to the selected charity and have it count towards your $500,000 goal?
Once you have selected a charity to support visit their website directly and look for their donate button. You can find a link to each charities website from either our Selected Charities page or Nominated Charities page. Once you’ve made your donation simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know the amount so that we can add it to our total!
What is the difference between a "nominated charity" and a "selected charity"?
Once a charity is nominated and approved through our vetting process it is added to our Nominated Charity page. These charities have not yet been selected to receive a donation from our members, although in a few instances a charity may have been selected over 18 months ago and then nominated again.
Charities that appear on our Selected Charities page have previously received donations from our members. The amount that was donated is also listed below their name.
